Long before Tamale had a food scene, it had Swad. Opened more than 25 years ago, Swad International Kitchen & Bar was the first restaurant of its kind to open its doors in the city — and it has been the reference point ever since.

What started as a small kitchen serving honest Indian food has grown into a full restaurant, bar and cafe: a heaven for fine food lovers who want Indian, local Ghanaian, continental, grilled and Chinese dishes under one roof, alongside a proper cocktail bar and, these days, a big screen for match nights.
